Just some thoughts… Have you thought of making animals that are native to your new area? They may be more popular with the locals.
Also, what school or sports team mascots are local to your area? If you will be selling in an area that has a Tiger mascot, then make a few tigers, etc.
You may also want to have a suggestion box or list people can write down what kind of plushies they are looking for. Or write a list of animals you are contemplating making on a piece of poster board or paper and have people “vote” for their favorite. For a voting incentive you can give out a sticker you designed on your thermal printer.

Personally, the main reason why I left corporate job is because I don’t want to please people. That’s why I started my own business to create the things that I love and enjoy making. Therefore, I don’t particularly make animals that are native to my new area or asking people what they want.
Occasionally, I do take custom order and create animals that the customer looking for but still have my own twist and style on it.
Plushies are not essential items, it’s more sentimental. By running my own business, I get to make the animals that I enjoy making and share it with people who also love them.

Hey girl, about that sleep thing....I feel for you because I have struggled with that too. Maybe you could keep a note book and pen beside your bed and the moment you have all those thoughts running in your head turn on the light write them all out then when your finished that tell yourself "It's is 3am and nothing will get done until a more appropriate time" until you relax and fall asleep. It took me decades to learn this hack and for me it has changed my life completely. Maybe it could work for you?

I have bad insomnia often and what has been working is falling asleep to a podcast subject I find interesting that has nothing to do with my day to day life but the person talking has to have a pleasing voice. I set the timer for 30min to shut off and I swear I'm asleep within 10min. I put 1 ear bud in so I don't wake husband 😁Keep up the great work you are inspiring others.
